Is it just me :-) I have struggled for while to learn how to create textures for Second Life.
I managed to stumbled upon this website and havent looked back. Check out http://www.sltexturetutorials.com/ this site is designed to teach you how to use Gimp and Photoshop and helps you step by step in creating your very own textures.
It has been created by Lady Hathaway long term resident of Second Life. I recently spoke with her and she said "you can use these tutorials to learn to create textures for any virtual world. Actually you can use these tutorials to master Gimp and Photoshop and apply them to any textures or graphics you wish to use".
